Texas safety ready to commit

Denton (Texas) Ryan safety Ishie Oduegwu is ready to make a verbal commitment, but he can’t find out if he still has an offer.
“Well right now, I want to commit to LSU,” the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Oduegwu said. “But, I know they have three commitments already. I’m not sure if my offer still stands or not.”

If Nick Saban’s squad wants him, they’ve got him.
“If the offer still stands, I will commit when I talk to them,” he said. “I’m waiting until I hear from them. They are going to call my coach back since they can’t call me until next month.”
Oduegwu, a four-star rated safety, has a second choice in mind if he can’t get to the SEC school and defending national champions.
“Arizona State is my second choice. If I can’t go to LSU, I’ll go there. I haven’t talked to them in a while though. I’ve been thinking a lot about my decision and I want to talk to LSU and then if I can’t go there, I’ll worry about second.”
