Texas safety open to recruiting process

San Antonio (Texas) Ronald Reagan safety Chase Branch has yet to have a scholarship offer come his way.
“I’m getting quite a bit of mail all the time,” the 6-foot-3, 207-pound Branch said. “I get a lot of handwritten letters from Baylor, Colorado and Texas State. Several other schools send stuff too.”

Branch’s top six schools include Baylor, Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas State and TCU.
“I don’t really have one school that I would say is my favorite,” he said. “I’ve grown up watching Texas play and my dad went to Texas-San Antonio. I am really kind of open to this process at this point.”
Branch recorded 81 tackles as a junior following a 122 tackle effort in his sophomore season. His efforts helped him earn all-district honors and district defensive most valuable player honors.
The summer camp circuit for Branch will include stops at Baylor, Colorado, TCU, Texas State, and North Texas.
