Texas safety makes decision

Gilmer, Texas safety Kevin Hollis visited three schools this spring. When he came home from the visits, he was sure where he was going.
"I visited Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kansas State," the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Hollins said. "When I came home, I knew K-State was the place for me to go.

“I really liked the coaches. They were very nice to me and took time with me to answer my questions and talk to me about how I would fit into their system and the defensive plans for the future. They have a history of good defenses there and I am looking forward to being a part of it.”
Hollis chose K-State over scholarship offers from Duke, Mississippi State, Nebraska and interest from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
“It really was the best fit for me,” he said. “I came back from camp and I just knew it was where I wanted to go. I had a good time and I really felt like I could play there and enjoy my time in college.”
