“My top school right now is Kansas State,” the 5-foot-11, 188-pound Kelley said. “Right after them are Arizona and Texas. Those would be the three at the top of my list at this point.
“I have written scholarship offers from Kansas State and Arizona and a verbal offer from Texas. So, I really can get to any of my three favorites, if I decide it is time to make a commitment.”
Kelley did camp at K-State and has visited Texas already this spring.
“I really enjoyed my time at Kansas State,” he said. “It is a nice town and I really liked the facilities and the coaches. I have been to Texas several times and feel like I know what they have there. I have not been to Arizona, yet. But, I know their new head coach is really good on the defensive side of the ball, so I think that would be a good place to check out some.”
Kelley is also receiving interest from Colorado, LSU, Missouri, Texas A&M and Texas Tech at this time.
“All of them have offered me scholarships except for Texas A&M. I don’t know if they will be or not. We’ll see.”
Kelley does not plan on making a quick decision.
“I want to take some of my visits and see the schools, so I will have to wait until our season at the earliest. I would guess it might be after our season, though, before I make a choice.”
