Texas safety has a leader

Tyler (Texas) John Tyler is one of the top teams in the state of Texas. And Matthew Melton of JT is one of the top players in the state of Texas.
The 6-foot, 190-pound four-star safety is proving that both on and off the field. With 10 tackles and an interception the season-opener against Ft. Worth Wyatt, Melton played a great game.

Off the field, Melton received calls from Texas, Texas A&M, Purdue, Arizona, West Virginia, Michigan State, SMU and Baylor.
Melton said Texas, Arizona, Purdue and Michigan State are his top teams. He says he does have a leader.
"I like Texas No. 1 right now," Melton said. "They've been the most interesting to talk to on the phone. They talk about how I would fit in there if I went there. They want me as a safety, and I like what I hear from them."
