Texas safety did not make visit

Arlington (Texas) Bowie safety Aaron Carr was scheduled to take his first official visit of the year last weekend, but he did not make it.
“Aaron did not go,” Carr’s mother said. “I don’t know what happened, but he did not go to UTEP this last weekend. I don’t know if he has it set for a different weekend or what.”

The list of other schools recruiting the 6-foot, 184-pound Carr includes Baylor, Kansas, Toledo and Tennessee State as schools with offers extended. He also has received attention from Kansas State, Texas A&M and TCU.
“He doesn’t have any visit scheduled that I know of,” she said. “He’s just playing football and trying to have a good season. I know coach (Anthony) Criss at the school is helping him through some of this too.
“We want him to find a good place to go to college. He hasn’t told us if there was one school that was above the others on his list or not. I know he has gotten several phone calls and he talks to the coaches, but they are all nice. He isn’t favoring anyone right now.”
