Texas safety being heavily recruited

Spring (Texas) Westfield safety Corey Campbell is one of the best in the state. Several schools have taken notice of his talent and are trying to get him to come their way.

"I'm being recruited mostly as a safety," Campbell said. "I'm big enough to be a safety, but I can play cornerback too. But most are looking at me as a safety."
Campbell's list of schools looks like a pre-season top 25.
"I'm liking Arkansas, Oklahoma, Florida State, Colorado, Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M, Purdue, Tennessee and a few others," the 6-foot-3, 195-pounder said. "They have offered me scholarships. Right now I'm looking to go out of state. That could change though."
Campbell is ranked as the 25th best player in Crabby's Texas Top 25 rankings.
As a junior, Campbell had 95 tackles and nine interceptions.
While Campbell isn't ready to make his choice yet he does know what he's looking for in the school he eventually chooses.
"I'm looking for a school where I can get a good education and one that has a good football team," Campbell said.
