Texas safety adds another offer

Arlington (Texas) Bowie safety Aaron Carr has added another offer to his list while others plan to wait until his senior season before offering.
“Toledo recently offered Aaron,” Bowie coach Anthony Criss said. “That adds them to the list along with Baylor, Kansas and Tennessee State. I think he’s wanting to wait and see what else might come along. Several other schools like TCU, SMU, Arizona, South Carolina and Kansas State have expressed some interest.

“Kansas State, we thought, was about to offer him this spring and he was ready to go. But, they didn’t. I think they want to see how he looks this fall before they go any further.”
Criss said the 6-foot, 185-pound Carr attended a couple of football camps this summer.
“Aaron went to Louisiana-Monroe’s, Texas A&M’s and TCU’s camp this summer,” the coach said. “I think from talking to him, he put on a good showing there and maybe showed some people what he could do.”
Criss is eager for Carr’s senior season to begin so the senior safety can show his skills on the field for more to see.
“I think when he gets the chance this fall to show people what he can do, they’ll realize he’s a player who could help them win football camps. I think more offers will come his way.”
