Texas S still torn

Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite safety Darien “Debo” Williams got everything he wanted for Christmas – except for one thing.
“That one thing is that I’m still up in the air about where I’m going,” Williams, a four-star safety that is ranked as the No. 32 player in the state of Texas. “I’m still torn between Oklahoma and A&M. I was hoping to know by now, but I’m still thinking about it and still communicating with the coaching staffs.”

Williams said his decision is something that could come here this week, or he could wait until he gets back to school after the first week of January. But what he does know is that it’s going to be a tough decision.
“I want to get it out of the way,” he said.
“Texas A&M has really nice campus, and the people were really nice, too,” Williams said. “They reminded me of how the people are around school here. Oklahoma would be somewhere new for me, and that’s a good thing, too. I like the coaches, because they’re really young, nice and everything like that. Plus, the players were cool up there, too.”
Williams said he does plan to watch the Sooners in the Rose Bowl, but for some reason he has a certain affection for one of the Sooners and Aggies biggest rivals when he plays NCAA 2003 on his new PlayStation 2.
“I play with Texas all the time,” Williams said. “It’s pretty tight playing with them. You just go out there and throw the long bombs to Roy Williams. I can’t lose.”
