Texas recruit commits before visit
Gartrell Cooper didn’t even to make his official visit to Missouri. The defensive end from Arlington Lamar gave the Tigers a verbal commitment.
“I felt real comfortable with them,” Cooper said of Missouri. “I committed to them. They were the first to start recruiting me and that meant something to me.”

Cooper had taken an official visit to Michigan State and had visits set with Oklahoma State and Kansas State.
He said he is in the process of canceling his visits.
