Xavier has increased his bench 20 pounds and his squat is up 25 pounds in preparation for his first game on August 31st.
He has offers from Oklahoma State, Kansas, Louisiana at Lafayette, and Georgia Tech.
He has been hearing from Louisiana State, Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Michigan State, Alabama, Michigan, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Baylor, Colorado, Missouri, Texas Christian, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Iowa, and Iowa State. Miami, Georgia, Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State, Colorado State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Indiana, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Auburn are also recruiting him. Harvard and Yale have also begun sending letters.
Xavier will look at the roster and where he stands on the depth chart. Also, he check out the coaching style and technique and the record of the school.
He will probably make that decision midway through the season.
If he had to make his official visits, they would be to the following (his comments follow):
Georgia Tech - "They're a good passing team and I like the style of the team, their system and the coaching staff."
Florida - "The tradition and they're a top bowl prospect and the system of offense is good."
Louisiana State - "The system of offense and they are a top school."
Oklahoma - "The system and they're a top notch program."
Xavier has added Alabama or Tennessee to the possible visit list because - "They both have a good passing technique or a balanced attack and a good game atmosphere as far as playing in front of their fans and as a part of their team."
