"Derrick has 1,257 yards rushing on the year," Derrick Brown, Sr. said. "His team is having an awful season. They are just 1-8 right now."
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Brown chose Texas A&M as his school and their is no looking back.
"The coaching change, if it happens, wouldn't affect his decision," the elder Brown said of his son's choice. "He committed to Texas A&M. He likes the coaches, but he chose the school."
Brown will get a chance to see first hand the recruiting weekend tour of Texas A&M's school and football program when he takes his official visit in December.
"He is going to take his official trip to the school on Dec. 13. He is looking forward to getting to go on that visit."
