Texas RB talks about decision plans

San Antonio Madison running back Devin Thomas has a plan.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder, rated as the nation's No. 26 running back prospect, has picked up scholarship offers from several schools such as Arkansas, Duke, Missouri, New Mexico State, South Florida, Stanford, and Texas A&M. Thomas says that things have been relatively quiet in terms of visits and new offers, but he does have things mapped out for how he'd like to make his decision.

"I'm going to commit before the football season starts," Thomas said. "It will probably be about a week before the season. Then I'm going to have a top five by July and then by August, I'll have my top two and make the best decision out of those two."
Thomas says that he'll be looking at a number of different factors to his list of choices down to one school.
"If it's a good school and I get a nice vibe from the coaches, that's going to be a plus," Thomas said. "I'm just looking for a school where I'm going to have fun and also a chance to play my freshman year."
While he claims no favorites just yet, Thomas says that he has several schools that continue to show more attention than most.
"I'd say it's Texas A&M, Arkansas, Missouri, and South Florida," Thomas said. "I feel pretty comfortable with all of those coaches."
Some more trips may happen this summer. Thomas says he's still looking at a lot of options.
"I was supposed to go visit Stanford with my dad and then I might go up to Arkansas with my coach," Thomas said. "Then, my mom and dad want to go back up to A&M. I have a job now so I'm still figuring all of that out."
