Texas RB still waiting for offers

Sleeper Dallas (Texas) Carter running back Michael Hicks may still be without that first scholarship offer, but the optimistic young man is looking forward to this season and what may happen then.
The 5-foot-7, 190-pounder has been hearing from Colorado most recently and it seems that things are picking up. The Buffaloes were wanting to get Hicks up for a camp, but he was unable to make it. Now, he's just waiting things out.

"We've got a tough schedule this season, so a lot of people doubt us," Hicks said about his Carter team. "We're ready to come together and get it done."
Hicks' recruiting process is starting to pick up. Colorado is the latest team on his radar.
"I spoke with a coach from Colorado and I've been staying in a lot of touch with those guys," Hicks said. "They wanted me to come up there for their camp, but my coach doesn't want me to get hurt. So, I'll go up there for a game this fall."
Hicks has also heard from UTEP, SMU, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas State, and others.
