Texas RB still getting calls

Although recruiting phone calls haven't been coming in as much as he had wished Klein (Texas) Oak two-star running back recruit Ossam Cook is still having a magnificent year.
"Right now, I'm trying to help my team improve and continue playing well," he said. "We have only lost one game this year and that was to Klein-Collins a couple of weeks ago."

When it comes to recruiting one school was showing the most interest, but that could change now with a coaching change.
"As of now, Kansas State is really the only school showing a whole lot of interest," Cook said. "But I talk with coach Mo Latimore and their running backs coach (Ricky Rahne) a couple times a every week".
Even though the phone calls from college coaches haven't been coming in at a rate he would like, Cook is well on his way to a terrific year by any standards.
"I've been leading the district for like two weeks now, I'm right around 120," he said. "I have 11 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns. I was planning on taking a visit to K-State around the first week in January."
Cook and his teammates now prepare for their last game of the regular season. With a win Klein Oak would capture the district crown and then soon have to shift focus for the playoffs to begin as they will take on Oakridge in the first round of the playoffs at a site to be determined.
