Texas RB picking up interest

Arlington (Texas) Mansfield Summit running back Keith Caldwell has not received any scholarship offers yet, but he had a lot of activity during the May evaluation period.
“I got calls and a lot of mail,” the 6-foot, 183-pound Caldwell said. “It was a pretty busy time. I don’t have any scholarship offers, but there are several schools expressing interest.”

The list of schools expressing that interest in Caldwell include Missouri, North Texas, Air Force, Dartmouth, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Colorado State, TCU and Rice among others.
“I would say Air Force and Dartmouth are expressing the most interest right now,” he said. “They are recruiting me heavily.”
Caldwell also spends some time in the Summit receiving corp.
“I have played some wide receiver, and I can catch the ball out of the backfield. I really just want the chance to play.”
As a junior, Caldwell played sparingly in a back-up role. He carried the ball just 20 times, but put up 316 yards and one touchdown. He also hauled in two passes for 43 yards and one score.
Caldwell plans a busy summer of attending football camps.
“I am going to go to camps at Texas, TCU, North Texas and Baylor,” he said. “Right now, those are the ones I am planning on going to.”
