Texas RB looking for another big year

Irving, Texas running back Jamaal Evans will be entering his third season as the starting running back for Jim Bennett's squad. The 5-foot-8, 183-pounder has already rushed for over 4,000 yards and will be back for his senior campaign as the offense's main feature again.
"I'm still pretty high on four schools," Evans said. "Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, LSU and Mississippi State are my four right now. The offenses they run feature running backs and the coaches have shown in the past that they aren't afraid to keep running it."

Evans rushed for 2,453 yards as a sophomore while scoring 28 touchdowns. He backed that up with 2,105 yards and 25 scores during the 2004 season.
"I'm going to work hard to keep it up there," he said. "I'll be getting the ball a lot. We run it as the main part of the offense. I want to do well again, but whatever the team needs from me is what I will do."
Evans plans on taking in a few camps this summer.
"I'm looking at going to Mississippi State's camp," he said. "And I will be going to the Fort Worth NIKE camp in April. I want to maybe get to one or two others too. It will give me a chance to show my skills a little bit and also check out a few schools while I'm there.
"I don't think I'll make an early decision, though. I want to finish off my senior season and take my visits before I pick my college. I just don't want to rush that big of a decision."
