Texas RB hearing from several

Newton, Texas running back Toddrick Pendland has received his qualifying test score and now the recruiting will probably pick up.
"I have some schools sending me stuff," the 5-foot-9, 165-pound Pendland said. "I just don't think many schools have my ACT score yet. I got a 19 on it and I just need to let some of the schools know that I have that score.

"I'm getting a lot of regular mail right now from the same group of schools."
That group includes Oklahoma, LSU, Indiana, Colorado, Utah State, Kansas State, Missouri, TCU and SMU.
"I like LSU the most right now," Pendland said. "They are a real good team. Ryan Perrilloux went there and they look like they're going to be getting a lot better and they are already pretty good."
Pendland plays both ways for Newton, and is getting attention on both sides of the ball from recruiters.
"Schools are recruiting me mostly as a running back, but some are saying maybe cornerback. I'll probably redshirt and then put some weight on so I can be a running back."
As a junior, Pendland rushed for 2,308 yards and 33 touchdowns.
