Texas RB heading to SMU
The tailback tradition at Dallas Carter is impressive. And now it's one that is going to be carried to the SMU Mutsangs.
Carter standout Anthony Barnett committed to SMU this weekend, picking SMU over Colorado, A&M, Kansas, Houston, Iowa, Iowa State and LSU.

All of those teams had offered Barnett, who is 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, at one point in the recruiting process.
"I just liked the athletics and the academics at SMU," Barnett said.
Barnett is SMU's top recruit so far for the Class of 2002.
