Texas RB heading to El Paso

After drawing interest from Arizona after Mike Stoops took over the coaching duties in Tucson, Houston (Texas) Booker T. Washington athlete Brandon Jackson was forced to turn elsewhere to find a school.
“I am going to Texas-El Paso,” the 6-foot, 212-pound Jackson said. “I just felt the best about there.”

Jackson visited El Paso the weekend of January 23.
“I had a good visit there and the plans for me from the coaches sound good. They said I can have the chance to be a running back. Hopefully that works out. If not, I’ll play at the fullback spot. If they need me at running back, then that is fine.”
Jackson earned all-district honors each of the past three seasons. He rushed for 1,126 yards as a senior and scored 14 touchdowns.
