Texas RB has two impressive offers on table

Clarksville, Texas, sits in the Northeast part of the state of Texas. It’s as close to Arkansas and Oklahoma as it is to other parts of the state. It’s also the close to the path that college coaches are beating to get a glimpse of running back Lonta Hobbs.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Hobbs has been clocked at 4.47-seconds in the 40-yard dash, has a 240-pound bench-press and can vertical leap 35 inches. He also has two very impressive scholarship offers on the table from UCLA and UTEP.

“UCLA offered me about a month ago in a FedEx package,” Hobbs said. “That was the first offer. I was tempted to commit, but I decided I need to weigh my options out.”
Another option is UTEP, which has also offered.
“I think they are getting new facilities down there,” Hobbs said. “I know they went to a bowl game last season, so I’ll be watching them.”
He’ll also be watching A&M, TCU and Nebraska the other teams that are recruiting the hardest with May calls and numerous letters. Does he now have a leader?
“Not really, I don’t have a team to beat,” Hobbs said. “I’m just looking for a school that has great facilities and a good graduation rate for the players. I also want a good business school.”
Why are all of the coaches after Hobbs?
“I follow my blockers really well,” Hobbs, who had 996 yards on 140 carries and 11 touchdowns, said. “I think I see the open field really well. I have breakaway speed but can combine that with the ability to read my blocks and go to the right hole.”
