Texas RB gives New Mexico State high marks

Mansfield (Texas) Summit running back Stephen Johnston took his third official visit to New Mexico State this past weekend, and has his list narrowed down to three schools.
The 5-foot-11, 199-pounder has taken in Air Force and Wyoming on trips. New Mexico State was the next stop for Johnston and he left impressed with what he saw. But, the North Texas prospect isn't ready to decide just yet.

"I got to see their facilities which are really nice and they have some new dorms which are pretty nice too," Johnston said. "I liked what I saw from New Mexico State. But, I'm not committed anywhere yet.
"I've still got some visits set up."
One of those is set for Missouri State this weekend. Johnston says he's unsure if he'll use the final visit slot the weekend before Signing Day. If another school shows interest that may be the date he chooses for a last minute visit.
However, three schools are at the top of the list.
"Right now, I'm basically down to New Mexico State, Missouri State, and Air Force," he said. "I don't know when a decision will happen. It may or may not happen after my visit to Missouri State."
