Texas RB ends process; makes pledge

DeSoto, Texas running back Kevin White received a scholarship offer last week while at camp, and he didn’t take long to give the school an answer.
“Oklahoma State offered me a scholarship when I was there for their camp last week,” the 6-foot-3, 210-pound White said. “It didn’t take me long. It was a no brainer. It was right down the street. It was close to home.”

White chose the Cowboys over offers from Kansas and Baylor and interest from Arkansas, Boston College and Texas A&M.
“I was waiting on Oklahoma State,” he said. “Baylor and Kansas had offered earlier, but this is what I wanted. They are recruiting me as a tailback.”
The camp in Stillwater is the only one White will be attending this summer.
“That is the only one I will be going to. I had a good time and picked up some good tips while I was there. I’m looking forward to playing for Coach (Les) Miles.”
