Texas RB commits but still open

Dallas South Oak Cliff running back Paul Franklin does not play for a school that traditionally produces very many football prospects and, because of that, the big 6-foot-1, 205-pound back has been a bit overlooked in the recruiting process.
Things have started to pick up a bit, though. Franklin made his first official visit this past weekend and came away committed. However, he is not quite ready to shut the process down just yet.

"I did verbal to Utah State but I'm still open a bit," Franklin said. "I'm not solid, solid yet.
"I felt like I was at home. They had a great coaching staff. They seemed like more than just coaches - they seemed like good friends. I could just talk to them about anything. I connected well with the players too and I liked the atmosphere."
In addition Utah State, Franklin is receiving newfound interest from quite a few programs.
"I'm going to Wake Forest on Saturday for an official visit," he said. "I'm also looking at Baylor. My coaches told me Houston is trying to get me down there and offer. New Mexico State is trying to as well and he said a couple more schools are trying to as well."
One new offer looks be coming Franklin's way for sure next weekend and, should an in-state school show more interest, he could visit there as well.
"They're going to offer me on Saturday," he said of Wake Forest. "I'm going out there Saturday and probably just staying through Sunday. Since it's the last visit weekend that will probably be my only other visit. Baylor is trying to set one up, though, and if they do I'll go on that one in the middle of the week."
Franklin rushed for 1,486 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior, averaging nine yards per carry.
