Texas RB adds another offer

Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite running back Al'Darius Thompson continues to add scholarship offers while he travels to summer football camps.

"I had offers from Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Mississippi State and TCU earlier," the 5-foot-10, 165-pound Thompson said. "Then Tulane offered me a scholarship a week ago or so. That's about it, though. I have more offers, but I don't know who they are off the top of my head. I have a lot of mail at home, and some of them are offers."

Thompson went to one of his two planned football camps this summer last week.

"I went to Oklahoma State's camp this last week. It went well. I liked doing the one-on-one drills and meeting the coaches. I talked to coach (Vance) Bedford the most. He's been recruiting me all along. We had a good talk.

"Georgia Tech's camp is coming up next. I am going after July 1 and spend some time with a friend down there and then we're both going to the camp."

Thompson does not plan to make a quick decision.

"I'm going to take my time and make sure I make the right pick when I choose a school."
