Texas QB up to four offers

Spring practice is fast approaching for many high school football players around the country and that means a chance to prepare for the fall and for some to impress college coaches. Allen (Texas) High School quarterback Matt Brown has got some momentum heading into the spring as he has recently picked up his fourth official offer to add to his list.
"I got offered from Iowa State," Brown said. "I talked to the head coach and he said he was going to send it down and they were going to offer me a full scholarship."

Brown's teammate Jeremy Reaves signed with the Cyclones out of the class of 2009 so Brown already has some knowledge of the Iowa State program.
"I was talking to some of the coaches there," he said. "Jeremy is going there and it would be real cool to be there with somebody from my same team. When I heard they were going to offer, I definitely took them into consideration. It would be good to play with a friend."
With offers already from Arizona, Kansas State and Nebraska to go with the newest offer, Brown has got several college options before the start of his senior season but following spring practice that list may continue to grow.
"There's a lot of schools that are talking to me," he said. "Three or four are coming down for spring and watching practice and I'm going to see how that goes. Oregon, Rice, TCU and Vanderbilt are a few of the schools interested."
Though Brown is a very efficient and effective passer, evidenced by his 1,900+ yards passing last season, he is also a terrific athlete. He is currently competing in track where he runs the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 meter relays along with the long jump and high jump. However, Brown has also got his eye on the football and spring ball.
"I'm really ready to get the pads on and start making some contact and having bodies fly around and get back to that mentality."
