Texas QB still getting mail

One of those under the radar prospects from east Texas is Orange (Texas) West Orange Stark quarterback Ryan Crouch. So far in the recruiting process Crouch is hearing from a few schools from around his home state and a few others.
“Recruiting is going ok right now,” the 5-foot-10, 170-pound Crouch said. “It is going well. I have no offers yet but I am still getting mail from all over.”

A sampling of the schools that are recruiting Crouch is Sam Houston State, Louisiana Tech, the University of Houston and Southern Methodist.
“I would have to say that Louisiana Tech is sending me the most mail right now, they are recruiting me the hardest,” he said. “I also get mail from a bunch of Ivy league schools. I have a 4.5 GPA right now. I still need to take the SAT so I can look more seriously at some schools.”
So far Crouch has gotten calls from three of the listed schools.
“I talked to the coach at Louisiana Tech, and a coach from Houston called me earlier,” he said. “I don’t know if any of them are close to offering me or not. I think the further my team goes into the playoffs the better I think the chances are that I will get an offer.”
Crouch is not too sure about going the junior college route if it came to that so if he does not get an offer he plans on making his own arrangements.
“If I don’t get an offer I don’t think I will go the junior college way,” he said. “I would rather walk on somewhere and see if I can earn a scholarship. It just depends on if the junior college has good things to offer.”
