Texas QB pulls the trigger

Houston (Texas) Langham Creek dual-threat quarterback Ross Jenkins has made his decision on where he'll be headed for college. After an official visit this past weekend, the option became clear.
Jenkins, a 6-foot-3, 186-pound prospect was holding offers from Texas State and Stephen F. Austin, but the trip to Texas State sealed the deal.

"I committed up there this past weekend," Jenkins said. "I was kind of leaning that way and they had a great season. I know next year they'll be pre-season top five. But, the visit kicked it over the top. The town is a great fit for me."
The two-star rated prospect fell somewhat under the radar over the summer, but established his name as a solid prospect at camps and combines.
When the offers came, Jenkins decided being close to home and being around solid coaches would be the best option.
"I was really looking forward to going up there and I had a great time," he said. "The facilities are great; the players along with the coaches were real comfortable to be around. They are just nice people."
"I'm not taking any more trips. I mean, I'd say this is it for me."
