One of the better quarterbacks in the state of Texas is heading to the Pac 10.
The Wildcats have landed a commitment from Johnson City, Texas, quarterback Kris Heavner.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound pro-style quarterback committed to the Wildcats after an official visit, according to his coach Todd Brown.
“He committed and that’s where he’s heading,” Brown said.
Heavner had said for the past few weeks that Arizona was his top pick – especially since it offered him a scholarship before the others schools attempted to get involved.
“Coach Mackovic always sends me hand-written letters and shows me that he wants me,” Heavner said in an earlier update by Rivals100.com.
He also had offers from Oklahoma State and New Mexico State, along with interest from Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
