Texas QB picking up interest

Irving (Texas) MacArthur quarterback Duane Brooks is garnering more interest from schools, but none have stepped forward with an offer yet.
“I don’t have any scholarship offers yet,” the 5-foot-11, 170-pound Brooks said. “I’m getting mail from a lot of schools. Most of it is information about the schools and their football camps.”

Brooks, a dual-threat style quarterback, plans to take in the NIKE camp in College Station, next month. He also will be attending the Hardin-Simmons and Todd Dodge passing camps this summer.
Brooks is receiving mail from SMU, Colorado, Colorado State, TCU, Houston and several others.
“I have several others that I am interested in. We’ll see how things go from here on.”
As a junior, Brooks threw for 1,757 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also rushed for 282 yards. His efforts on the field earned him all-city offensive player of the year honors and all-district quarterback recognition.
