Texas QB picked up his first offer

Junior to Watch: Matt Flynn
School: Tyler, Texas

Position: Quarterback
Size and speed: Matt Flynn is 6–foot-3 and 218 pounds. He has a 40-yard dash time of 4.65 seconds.
Statistics: As a junior he completed 101 of 199 pass attempts for 1,650 yards, while scoring 13 touchdowns and having nine interceptions.
Favorite Schools: He has an offer from Baylor, and is hearing from about 38 schools, including his top five (Baylor, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama and Texas Tech), all the Texas schools except Houston.
He is also hearing from Vanderbilt, Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa, and Oklahoma State.
He would like to make his visits to:
LSU: "It's in the SEC Conference, and I made a junior day visit there and really liked the campus and fan support. They won their BCS Bowl game last year."
Tennessee: "Dream school.There are 100,000 screaming fans in the SEC Conference."
Alabama: "A friend signed there, and I liked it on my unofficial visit, and it's in the SEC Conference."
Baylor: "I've grown up watching them play, my Dad is an alum, and it's one of my top choices, so I want to take a trip there."
Texas Tech: "Their offense is a quarterback's dream, and another friend signed there."
Skinny: He will have no problem qualifying academically. He has a 3.0 grade point average and he scored a 1020 SAT.
"I will be looking at the depth chart, the quarterback coach, the campus and a good education as factors in my decision, so I don't think that distance will play a role in my choice."
His strong points are: "A strong arm, good reads, and I can throw all the routes."
He described himself as: "A gun it in there quarterback."
He has attended camp at Texas A&M, Baylor and SMU and plans to attend Baylor again, as well as LSU, Texas Tech, and possibly Tennessee.
