Texas QB looking toward the Big 10

Ft. Worth (Texas) Nolan quarterback Sean Hakes has already been on the road a lot in his life having moved from Ohio to Texas and back. Then to the Lone Star State again. Now, he's looking to make the move back to Big 10 country, one more time.
"Michigan has been recruiting me the most right now," the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Hakes said. "I am going to be going up to their junior day later this month (Feb. 27) and I am going to the NIKE camp on May 7 up there."

The Wolverines aren't the only Big 10 school looking at Hakes.
"I'm also getting some stuff from Ohio State and Wisconsin," he said. "But, mostly it is Michigan. Their coach came by the school earlier this year. Then he sent me a hand written letter telling me he enjoyed meeting me and that he was looking forward to recruiting me."
Hakes moved from Ohio to Texas in 1992 after growing up near the home of the Buckeyes.
"I grew up just about five minutes from the stadium in Columbus," he said. "So, looking at Michigan this much almost makes me feel like I'm cheating on my girlfriend. But we moved down here in 1992, then back for a year in 1997. Now we're back in Texas."
The Buckeyes aren't out of the picture completely, though.
"I am going to go to Ohio State's camp this summer, too," he said. "I'm not locked in on one school. But, I am really shooting for the Big 10."
Hakes participated in the State College, Pa., NIKE camp last summer prior to his junior year and hopes to show off his quarterback skills a little more this year.
"I shared time last year at quarterback when I transferred from Colleyville Heritage," he said. "This year, I'll have more opportunities and we should open up the offense some more. Last year we had a senior running back and that was our first option. This year, we'll have a sophomore back."
