Texas QB looking to set visit dates

Corpus Christi (Texas) Calallen quarterback Jordan Chambless has a few scholarship offers on the table, but the three-star rated player could pick up a few more by visiting a few schools.
“I have not lined up any official visits,” the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Chambless said. “I’ve talked to a few schools about that possibility. But, so far, nothing is set up.”

A few of the schools being mentioned as possible visit destinations include Houston, Rice and TCU.
“Those three have not offered me a scholarship yet,” he said. “If I take an official visit there, I think I would get those offers. I am looking for a place that I can continue to play both football and baseball. Each of these schools has told me that would not be a problem. I like that and it is definitely a factor I will weigh into my decision.”
Chambless currently has scholarship offers from Kansas and New Mexico.
“I am interested in those two schools,” he said. “I will probably visit them as well. I plan on working to get the visits lined up here before too long. I know I am probably looking at January for them most likely.”
Chambless’ season ended last Saturday with a loss to Bay City in the state semi-finals, 23-21.
“We had a good season,” he said. “But, we had hoped to keep it going another game.”
