Texas QB looking out of state

Last year, all the talk at Baytown (Texas) Lee was about wide receiver James Cleveland. However, the 2007 class is definitely highlighted by their quarterback Jeremy Moses.
Moses, who has been keeping himself busy with baseball and football training during the early spring months, is already receiving a fair share of recruiting mail. No scholarship offers have come, but Florida State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, Iowa, Stanford, and Purdue are just a few schools showing up on the radar.

"Northwestern has sent the most with handwritten stuff and lots of mail," Moses said about his early recruitment. "I get quite a few letters. Of all the schools sending me stuff, I've probably talked with the coaches at Iowa, Northwestern, and Stanford the most."
Northwestern and Stanford are the early two leaders for Moses. He says that the academic prestige is what has those programs above the rest. However, he's also very familiar with schools like Purdue and Iowa.
"I went to Purdue last summer for a camp," Moses said. "I'm probably going to go to Northwestern for a camp this summer as well."
Most of the contact that Moses has had with schools has not been about future offers but rather what he thinks about certain schools and what they have to offer him. Just like on the field, he's going to stay patient with this process.
"I'd like to get it out of the way early so I don't have to worry about recruiting, but we'll just see how things develop," Moses said. "I'm looking at a December graduation to where I could attend spring ball somewhere if need be."
