Texas QB hearing from list of schools

Abilene, Texas quarterbackMarcus Johnson turned in an impressive junior season, and that has college scouts staying in touch.
"I threw for over 2,000 yards last year and ran for over 1,000," Johnson said. "I hope by working hard this summer I can get better and improve on those."

The 6-foot-1, 175 pound Johnson also plays baseball for his high school team, but is looking soley at football for college. "I'm ready for this year. This is my last year, so I want to play well and show the coaches I can play at that level."
The schools showing interest in Johnson already are Texas Tech, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Texas Christian, Nebraska and Arkansas. "Those aren't the only ones, but those are the ones off the top of my mind. Texas Tech has offered a scholarship already too."
Johnson isn't wanting to rush into a decision. "I want to look at the schools and make sure I make the right choice."
