Texas QB heads West with pledge

Baytown (Texas) Lee dual-threat quarterback Brian Johnson has made up his mind and is heading West to play his college football.
“He committed to Utah today,” Lee coach Dick Olin said. “He’s finished and that’s where he’s going to end up at. He’s going to be a great fit out there. Urban Myer recruited him to play quarterback and that’s where he’s going to end up at.”

The two-star quarterback was also recruited by Louisiana Tech and Illinois. He visited Utah back on December 12.
Lee has had its last four quarterbacks - Jermaine Alfred, Clint Stoerner, Ell Roberson and Drew Tate - sign with Division I schools.
