Johnson City, Texas, quarterback Kris Heavner is enjoying the recruiting process so far and is getting attention from many schools across the Southwest.
He recently picked up an offer from Arizona to add to his total of three, which include New Mexico and Oklahoma State.

Heavner received calls from Arizona, TCU and Baylor on Sunday night. All three schools talked to him about making an official visit but only one came away with a positive response.
“I told Coach (Rick) Dykes that I would make a visit to Arizona,” Heaver said. “I am going to go out there on Oct. 4.”
The 6-3, 205-pound signal caller is known for his combination of arm strength, size and speed and those three aspects of his game showed in Johnson City’s opener against Harper.
“We won 25-7. I had 180-yards passing with a touchdown and 105-yards rushing with a touchdown,” Heavner said. “I had one interception.”
The star quarterback hopes to continue it’s early success against San Sabbath on Friday.
Heavner lists his top five as Arizona, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. He is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals100.com and the 40th best pro-style quarterback in the country.
