Texas QB commits

Three-star pro-style quarterback Doak Raulston of Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints Episcopal has decided to end the recruiting process.
"I actually just got off the phone with coach Derek Dooley, head coach at Louisiana Tech, and had told him I was committing," said an excited Raulston Sunday night.

The commitment comes after Raulston took an unofficial visit to Louisiana Tech this weekend and witnessed a Louisiana Tech upset of Fresno State 38-35.
"Everything just seemed perfect down there," he said. "All the players are really cool to be around and the coaches are terrific. It just seemed that everything fit into place really nicely. The atmosphere was awesome as well and the fans were great."
While Raulston admitted that he would be taking an unofficial visit to the Utah-BYU game Nov. 22, he added that he was indeed a solid commit to Louisiana Tech.
For now, though, Raulston and his teammates at All Saints Episcopal (9-1) are focused on a conference championship match-up with Trinity Valley this coming Friday evening. Trinity Valley is the only school to defeat All Saints this season.
"We played them earlier in the year and they go the best of us," he said. "But we'll be ready this time they got kind of lucky and had things go their way in the first one."
