Texas player likes the Texas schools

Chad Davis, who plays middle linebacker for Texas City High School in Texas, has 28 tackles, eight solo and one for loss, two interceptions and one sack.
The 5-foot-11, 190 pounder also plays fullback and is the long snapper on special teams for the team.

"He is the defensive leader and play caller on the field for us," his coach said.
Chad has no offers as of yet, but he is hearing from Texas A&M, Texas Tech., Nebraska, Texas Christian, Baylor, Iowa State and Southwest Texas.
Chad has no visits set and no idea when he will set them.
"I'd feel more comfortable in a smaller school, though the football program is important to me," Chad said.
He attended the Houston combine and seven on seven tournaments this summer.
"I'm leaning towards Southwest Texas, while my dad has job related connections to Texas A&M so that's were he's leaning," Davis said.
If he had to make his official visits, he would like them to be to the following (his comments follow):
Southwest Texas - "A few Texas City players are there. It's in beautiful country, a good football program and a small campus."
Texas A&M - "They're a good program. The coaches are friendly and I want to learn more about them."
Texas Christian - "They are a good school, smaller in size. I have teammates there and the academics are good."
Texas Tech - "Basically, the same as the others and there are two former Texas City High players there."
Chad lists his strong points as - "Good leadership, hands and determination. I'm a versatile player and I get to the ball well. Though not that fast in the 40, I have good football speed."
Chad describes himself as - "A solid all around athlete."
