Texas OL waiting things to shake out

Allen, Texas offensive lineman J.D. Walton was scheduled to visit Utah this weekend, but the coaching situation with Urban Meyer has thrown the whole recruiting process for the two-star prospect into a tizzy.
“The coaches from Utah called and cancelled it with all of the stuff that is going on,” the 6-foot-2, 288-pound Waltong said. “I haven’t rescheduled it, yet. They are going to wait and reschedule it. I am supposed to call them this week and see who all is going to go with Coach (Urban) Meyer to Florida and who is going to stay at Utah. If I get the chance to go with them to Florida, that would be great and would obviously put a new school near the top of the list.”

Walton had a busy week with several schools in his home last week, but the pace won’t slow down this week.
“Iowa State, Arizona State, SMU and Colorado State are all coming down this week again and stop by the school. Arizona State is coming by the house on Tuesday with Coach (Dirk) Koetter. The others all came by the house last week.
“Also, my coach told me that TCU is going to get some more film and take it back to the offensive line coach for more evaluation and they may have some more interest at that time.”
The hectic pace hasn’t exhausted Walton, yet.
“With all of the changes and schools calling, I’m still enjoying it. It is getting nerve racking a little, but it was nice to have the weekend off. I needed to be able to sit back and watch what was happening and see some things shake out.”
