Texas OL takes in OU game

Denton , Texas offensive guard Herman Johnson was able to take his first unofficial visit of the fall this weekend.
“It has been really busy,” the 6-foot-6, 360-pound Johnson said. “The phone just has been ringing all the time.”

LSU was one of the first to call the three-star rated tackle. Oklahoma, Clemson, Colorado, Texas A&M and Arkansas have also called Johnson.
“I like LSU still quite a bit,” Johnson said. “They are one of my top schools right now. I will be taking one of my official visits there. But, I don’t have any lined up yet.”
He did get the chance to take in the Oklahoma Sooners' game on Saturday against UCLA.
"I had a real good time there," he said. "I enjoyed everything while I was there. The atmosphere at the game was really nice. I was able to talk to a lot of people when I was there and learned quite a bit. I liked what I saw when I was there.
"The coaches made time to talk to me about my chances of being part of their program. I'm looking at them quite a bit too. I'm sure one of my official visits will go there."
Johnson hopes to squeeze in a few more unofficial visits yet this season.
“I’d like to try and get some more taken,” he said. “There are some games coming up that I would like to see.”
Decision time has not been set for Johnson.
“I will plan on taking my official visits before I make a choice,” he said. “So, I would guess the decision is a little ways from coming.”
