Garland (Texas) South Garland offensive tackle Nick Richmond continues to wait as the recruiting process moves along and he still has one school at the top of his list.
“It is going pretty good,” Richmond’s father Chester said. “He still hasn’t made his mind up. He’s getting a lot of offers. He has 30 offers so far. There are just schools all over offering him. We just got some stuff from Oklahoma last week.”
Despite the continued interest from several schools, one school does sit at the top of the list.
“He’s still leaning toward TCU. That’s where he’ll probably end up going. That’s where I want him to go. He went over there during the summer, toured the place and talked to the coaches. He felt pretty good about things there.
“We haven’t made a final decision yet. Unless we get a better offer we’ll probably be headed to TCU. They have the whole package there for a player. They are in a good location, they have good meals, the tutoring is good. It’s just everything you could want.”
The 6-foot-7, 281-pound Richmond is not rushing his decision.
“I’ve told him we don’t need to hurry to get this done. He’s a big kid and there will be a school somewhere wanting him at anytime. We’ll probably have a decision sometime in October.”
