Texas OL set to sign

New Braunfels, Texas, offensive lineman Aldo De La Garza was set to sign with Notre Dame last season, but things never quite worked out and he never signed a national letter-of-intent. That left the door open for a Big 12 team.
That Big 12 team is Texas A&M.

It’s been widely known around the Aggie circles that De La Garza was heading to A&M this season, but the one question was whether or not the 6-foot-4, 295 pound offensive guard was going to actually sign a letter-of-intent.
De La Garza cleared the situation up.
“I will sign with A&M on Feb. 6,” he said. “It was my top in-state school last season, but when Notre Dame offered me last year, it seemed like the right thing to do. But now A&M seems like the right thing.”
Since De La Garza will sign, the three-star prospect from last season will count as part of the Class of 2002 and also count in the team rankings.
“Sitting out this year has been good for me,” De La Garza said. “It has allowed me to get stronger and rest up. I’m ready to go play for A&M.”
