Texas OL ready to join the Owls

Alvin, Texas offensive lineman Nathan Miller took an official visit to Rice over the weekend and had one other trip scheduled. After returning home Sunday, he decided he had seen enough.
"Nathan committed to Rice on Monday," Alvin coach Michael Bass said. "He called up the coaching staff there and told them he was going to come play for them."

The 6-foot-2, 265-pound Miller had planned to visit Texas Tech this weekend.
"He was going to visit Lubbock, but the coaches were here on Monday," Bass said. "He just told them he was comfortable with his decision to go to Rice. So, he won't make the trip. He still needs to call Kansas State and tell them. We sat him down and told him he needed to get them told. I think he is planning on calling them tonight."
