Texas OL racking up more offers

Allen, Texas offensive lineman J.D. Walton had a busy month of May as coaches were out able to evaluate prospects. The mail has continued to come and so have more scholarship offers.
“Everything is going very well,” the 6-foot-2, 288-pound Walton said. “I get lots of mail everyday and May was very busy. I got several calls from coaches.”

Some of those calls resulted in scholarship offers coming to the Walton house.
“I now have eight offers,” he said. “They are from Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Southeastern Louisiana, Colorado State, Utah, Arizona State, Houston and SMU. I think Iowa State is close.”
Walton has also been busy this summer attending football camps at different universities.
“I have attended camps at Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Houston, Baylor and SMU. I also plan on attending the offensive lineman camp at Texas A&M on July 16.”
Walton would like to get the decision out of the way.
“It would be good to make an early decision on schools so I can concentrate on having a successful senior year and start making plans with whichever school I choose.”
