Texas OL pulls trigger for Mustangs

Austin (Texas) McNeil offensive center Bryce Tennison made a commitment this past weekend after taking an official visit to an in-state school.
Driving up to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the 6-foot-2, 290-pounder took in SMU. Apparently, it was all he needed to see in order to make a decision on which school he was choosing.

"I'm going to SMU," Tennison said about his commitment. "It was the people there. They reminded me of my friends back home. Plus, it's not too far from home and it's going to be a really good program up there.
"Some of the guys that committed already are only going to make the program better as well."
Tennison's recruiting coach from SMU, Ronnie Vinklarek, impressed the young lineman with his NFL experience.
"He's intense but another good thing I like about him is that he has connections to the NFL," Tennison said. "Not many college coaches have that experience to the league."
As for whether or not he's still thinking about visits, Tennison responded confidently with a firm "no."
"I'm done with trips," Tennison said. "Once I committed, I knew that was going to be it."
