Texas OL picks up first offer
Arlington (Texas) Bowie offensive lineman John Walden has pulled in his first scholarship offer.
“I got an offer from Air Force last week,” the 6-foot-2, 310-pound Walden said. “They call me every week to talk about things. They are really recruiting me hard.”

The list of other schools pursuing the two-star rated center are Colorado State and Central Florida.
“There were some others earlier on, but that has slowed down,” he said. “Even Colorado State and Central Florida have slowed down some with conference games taking place. I’m talking to Air Force about a visit and that is really the latest of all the talk.”
Walden hopes to get a date set up for a visit, but hopes the visit has to be later on.
“If we keep winning we’ll get into the playoffs,” he said. “That would cause me to have to wait until later to take the trip.”
Walden has only played the last five games of the nine game season thus far.
“I started the season with a strained knee. It is fine now, but it is still a little bit sluggish. But, I can play.”
