Texas OL opens holes, coaches eyes

New names surface every day during this time period of recruiting. One such name that surfaced recently is Dee Berryman, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound offensive lineman from Jersey Village, Texas.
Unheralded heading into his senior campaign, Berryman has overcome a separated shoulder and is now receiving interest from several big-time programs.

Iowa State has even offered him a scholarship. Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Arkansas are also now making weekly phone calls.
“Once my shoulder got better, the recruiting picked up,” Berryman said. “I don’t know if that’s what it was or not, but coaches have definitely started to call a lot more now.”
Berryman was a varsity starter as a sophomore at Jersey Village at defensive tackle before making the switch to offensive tackle as a junior.
Berryman is a big reason why Jersey Village running back Selvin Young is having so much success this campaign.
“He’s really good,” Young said. “You can always count on him to make a big block. We’re playing real good right now, and the offensive line has a lot to do with that. We’re really coming together.”
Berryman declined to mention a favorite among his choices.
