Texas OL heading to WAC
Tyler (Texas) Lee offensive lineman Scott Austin has made up his mind and is heading to the WAC.
“I was really impressed by the football knowledge of coach Hinshaw who recruited me and coach Wachenheim, who is the offensive coordinator, and offensive line coach,” Austin said.

“Playing for Gary Fleet and Mike Owens at Tyler Lee has been a tremendous experience and their coaching is directly responsible for me having the ability to play at the next level.”
Austin is projected to play both tackle and guard in Rice’s run oriented option offense. He will be majoring in Managerial Studies.
Austin chose Rice over Baylor, New Mexico, SMU, and Sam Houston State.
