Texas OL getting closer to making choice

Rowlett, Texas offensive guard Josh Hickman continues to favor one school, but he’s not ready to pull the trigger.
“We start school tomorrow,” the 6-foot-2, 277-pound Hickman said. “We started pads on Friday, then full pads on Saturday. Our first full scrimmage is on Friday. Then we open the season the next Friday against Plano.”

Recruiting has slowed, but not much has changed.
“I’m getting closer to a decision. I haven’t made a commitment. I still favor SMU right now. I’m going to the first game when they play Tex as Tech. I want to go through the recruiting process a little bit. I might go on my five free trips, even though I’m close to committing.”
Only mail continues to come this summer.
“I’ve gotten a lot of mail, but I haven’t talked to anyone for a while. I haven’t called anyone. Just kind of taking a break. I went to camps at Texas, SMU, TCU and Texas A&M, but that was my last contact with any coaches.”
